Celebrate St. Patrick's Day a little early with ORRE

ORRE is planning an early St. Patrick's Day celebration with the world renowned Irish Tenor MICHAEL LONDRA

Michael Londra, the voice of Riverdance On Broadway, will perform a benefit concert for the Oak Ridge Revitalization Effort Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Grove Center Theatre beginning at 8:00 PM in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Michael will be joined by the finest Irish musicians and dancers as they captivate the audience with their lively interpretation of traditional Irish music. The band members and dancers' individual cultural and musical backgrounds culminate in a sound that is as dynamic as it is poignant. With a foundation of authentic instrumentation – Uileann pipes, bodhran, fiddle, mandolin and guitar – Michael and the band blend new and old, elegantly incorporating contemporary sounds into a diverse repertoire. Moving vocals, rife with loss, longing, energy, and adventure are layered with familiar and original melodies. Audiences are inspired as they hear the voice of Michael and feel the sorrow, the joy, and the hope.
